Into the Xingyunverse: A Xingyun Zine will be a free digital zine featuring the relationship between Genshin Impact characters Xingqiu and Chongyun in alternate universes. The zine will be split evenly into four categories: soulmate, royalty, modern, and cursed AUs.
We will aim to include an equal number of pieces, both art and fic, in each section. This zine will be open to all members of the Xingyun Time server to join as page artist and writer contributors. Yes, this means that anyone who submits an application to join the zine will be accepted!
As we are hosting open applications, this means that all applicants must indicate which of the four categories they would be willing to create a piece for, and will be assigned a category upon entry to the project. Including a compelling pitch for one or more categories is not required, but may make it more likely to be assigned to a specific category.
We will, however, be having a closed application process for a cover artist and digital merch artists.
All applicants will be asked to provide a link to a portfolio and/or samples of their work, which should include pieces in a similar quality and style to what they plan to produce for the zine. General contributors will be asked to provide a minimum of one sample, while cover artist and merch artist applicants will be asked to provide a portfolio containing 3-5 samples of their work.
This zine will be in A5. Page artists may choose between creating a single-page portrait, double-page spread, or multi-page comic. Writers will create one work of fanfiction no longer than 2k words in length.
Plagiarism will not be tolerated, and anyone caught plagiarizing will be expelled from the zine.

What is the theme of this zine?
The theme of this zine is xingyun across multiple universes, hence the title: Into the Xingyunverse. As such, the zine will feature xingyun in four major alternate universe categories: soulmate, royalty, modern, and cursed AUs.
What is the rating of this zine?
The rating of this zine is PG-13, so all pieces should be rated T or lower. This means that no NSFW will be allowed. Explicit sexual content, heavy gore, and/or graphic depictions of violence will not be featured. Non-sexual nudity and minor depictions of injury and death, however, will be allowed.
What is the minimum age requirement to participate in this zine?
As all zine-related coordination will be done over Discord, all participants must be aged 13 or over at the time of application, in compliance with the Discord ToS.
Can I apply for multiple roles?
Contributors may only be accepted for one role. If you apply for multiple roles, the mods will assign your role based on the distribution of contributors between each category.
May I post previews of my piece prior to zine release?
The mod team will provide preview graphic templates to post after third check-in. Please do not share any part of your piece on social media prior to this.
When can I post my piece publicly?
Contributors will be allowed to post their final pieces publicly after the zine is released on May 8th, 2022. Please do not share any part of your piece prior to this date.
